The views of the tranquil bay and picturesque harbour of Lake Keri are breathtaking. The settlement of this name lies in the embrace of a bay to the south of the large bay of Laganas, with the uninhabited island of Marathonisi opposite.

Lake Keri, famous for its pitch springs gives the impression of a fresh-water lake. Most of the wells in the area have now dried up but on the left of the road, towards the beach can be seen the Spring of Herodotus.
